Truett McConnell College

Truett McConnell College is a private Christian college located in Cleveland, Georgia. It was founded in 1946 by Dr. J. Walter Martin and named after Dr. T.M. McConnell, a prominent Baptist minister from the area. The school is affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The college offers more than 40 majors in areas such as business, education, humanities, nursing and social sciences.

The campus consists of four buildings: the main academic building, a student center, a library and an administration building. The main academic building houses classrooms, laboratories and faculty offices for all disciplines offered at the college. The student center provides students with access to recreational activities such as a gymnasium, pool tables and ping pong tables. The library houses books, periodicals and audio-visual materials related to all academic fields taught at the college.

Truett McConnell College offers several student services such as career counseling, tutoring services, health services and student activities like clubs and organizations related to various interests including music, art and theatre. There are also many opportunities for spiritual growth through chapel services held weekly on campus and through various ministries such as Campus Outreach Ministries or Student Leadership Ministries that help students grow in their faith while attending college.

The college also offers several extracurricular activities such as intramural sports teams competing against other colleges in the region; music ensembles including choirs; theatre productions; art exhibitions; literary publications; travel opportunities; mission trips; volunteer work programs; community service projects; study abroad programs; internships with local businesses or organizations; research projects with faculty members or graduate students from other universities; seminars on current topics related to academic fields of study; leadership development programs; mentoring programs for first-year students or those considering graduate school applications.
