Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is a private, Christian seminary located in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It is one of six seminaries affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and is the largest seminary of its kind in the world. Founded in 1950, SEBTS is committed to providing theological education for those who seek to serve Christ and His Church.

SEBTS offers a variety of degree programs including Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Theology (ThM), and Master of Christian Leadership (MCL). All degree programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to serve effectively in their chosen field. Additionally, SEBTS offers a number of certificate programs as well as online courses for those who are unable to attend classes on campus.

At SEBTS, students have access to world-class faculty and resources. Faculty members have expertise in a variety of areas such as biblical studies, theology, church history, pastoral ministry, and more. The seminary also has an extensive library with over 300,000 volumes ranging from classic works to contemporary books on theology and Christian living.

The campus at SEBTS is located on 70 acres just outside Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The grounds feature beautiful landscaping and an outdoor amphitheater that can be used for worship services or special events. In addition to its academic facilities, the seminary also houses a student center which includes a chapel, gymnasiums, student lounges and other amenities designed to enhance the student experience.

At SEBTS we believe that education should be rooted in Scripture and focused on equipping students for service in their local churches or other ministries around the world. We strive to create an environment where students can grow spiritually while developing their knowledge base through rigorous study and research. Our goal is to produce graduates who are prepared not only academically but also spiritually so that they can effectively serve God’s kingdom in whatever capacity He calls them into service.
