Roberts Wesleyan College

Roberts Wesleyan College is a private, coeducational Christian liberal arts college located in Rochester, New York. Founded in 1866 by the Free Methodist Church, it is the first and only college in the world to be founded by this denomination. The college offers more than 50 undergraduate programs and over 20 graduate programs, as well as online and blended learning opportunities.

The campus of Roberts Wesleyan College consists of over 100 acres of land in the town of Chili, New York. The main campus includes seven residence halls, a library, a student center, an athletic complex, and several other academic buildings. In addition to its main campus, Roberts Wesleyan has two satellite campuses: the School of Nursing in Brockport, New York and the Center for Graduate Studies in Brighton, New York.

At Roberts Wesleyan College students are encouraged to explore their faith through spiritual activities such as chapel services and Bible studies. The college also offers a variety of student organizations including honor societies, clubs and intramural sports teams.

The academic program at Roberts Wesleyan College is organized around five colleges: Arts & Sciences; Business & Leadership; Education; Nursing; and Professional Studies & Social Sciences. These colleges offer a wide range of majors such as accounting, biology, communication studies, criminal justice studies, education studies, history/political science/international relations/law enforcement administration/public administration/social work/sociology/psychology/theology & philosophy/youth ministry & family life education. All students must complete general education requirements including courses in English composition and literature; mathematics; natural sciences; social sciences; humanities; fine arts; physical education or health education; Christian formation courses (which focus on topics such as Christian ethics); and an integrative seminar course that focuses on developing critical thinking skills.

Roberts Wesleyan College also offers several pre-professional programs such as pre-law and pre-medicine that prepare students for professional school admission tests (such as the LSAT or MCAT). In addition to its academic program Roberts Wesleyan has several study abroad programs including semester-long exchange programs with universities in England and Australia as well as short-term study abroad trips to other countries around the world.

Roberts Wesleyan College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). The college also holds memberships with organizations such as AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) among others.
