Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology

Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST) is an accredited graduate school based in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1997, NEGST provides theological training and research to equip African leaders for Christian service. NEGST is a member of the African Theological Fellowship (ATF), a network of evangelical theological schools across Africa.

NEGST offers a range of graduate-level programs, including Master’s and Doctoral degrees in theology, counseling, leadership, and missiology. The school also offers certificate programs in biblical studies, Christian education, and church ministry. All courses are taught from an evangelical perspective and are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to serve effectively as Christian leaders in their local contexts.

NEGST’s faculty consists of experienced scholars who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. Faculty members come from various backgrounds, including academic research, pastoral ministry, international mission work, and community development. The faculty also includes visiting lecturers from around the world who specialize in particular areas of study such as missiology or leadership development.

In addition to its academic programs, NEGST also offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students. These include student associations such as the Student Leadership Society and the Global Mission Society; spiritual formation groups that meet regularly for prayer; and social activities such as movie nights or game nights.

At NEGST students learn not only from their professors but also from one another through dialogue and collaboration on projects or papers. This helps them develop their critical thinking skills while also fostering relationships with peers from different parts of the continent who share similar interests or experiences.

The school is committed to equipping African leaders with the knowledge they need to make an impact in their communities through service-oriented ministries that reflect Christian values. Through its rigorous academic programs combined with practical experience opportunities such as internships or mission trips, NEGST seeks to train up men and women who will use their God-given gifts for His glory throughout Africa and beyond.
