Lipscomb University

Lipscomb University is an independent, coeducational, Christian university located in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 1891 by David Lipscomb and James A. Harding, it is affiliated with Churches of Christ. The university has a total enrollment of over 4,600 students and offers more than 100 undergraduate majors, minors and concentrations as well as more than 40 master's degree programs.

Lipscomb University is divided into the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Business Administration, the College of Education, the College of Entertainment & the Arts, the College of Health Professions and Sciences and the College of Professional Studies. The university also offers online degree programs in several areas such as business administration, nursing and education.

The campus consists of more than 30 buildings including dormitories, academic buildings, student centers and athletic facilities. The school also has a library that houses over one million volumes and a student center which features a movie theater and bowling alley.

The university has many clubs and organizations that students can join such as fraternities/sororities, academic clubs/organizations (including honor societies), religious organizations (including Baptist Student Union), special interest groups (including multicultural organizations) and sports clubs/teams (including intramural sports).

Lipscomb University offers a variety of student services including career counseling/placement services, health services (such as a health clinic), personal counseling services (such as stress management workshops) and tutoring services (such as study skills seminars). The school also provides housing for its students in residence halls or apartments on-campus or off-campus.
