Columbia International University

Columbia International University (CIU) is a private, Christian university located in Columbia, South Carolina. Founded in 1923 as Columbia Bible School, CIU has a long history of providing quality education to students from all backgrounds and walks of life. The university’s mission is to “educate students to think and live a Christian life of service and leadership.”

CIU offers over 100 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in fields such as business, education, engineering, counseling and psychology, ministry and theology. The school also offers a robust online program with many of the same courses available on-campus. CIU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

The campus at CIU covers nearly 80 acres with numerous buildings for classrooms, dormitories, administrative offices, athletic facilities and more. The campus also features an outdoor amphitheater for student events as well as an outdoor pool. The university also offers a variety of ministries such as Bible studies, prayer groups and mission trips that students can take part in throughout the year.
