Bethel University

Bethel University is a private Christian university located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1871, Bethel University has grown to become one of the premier Christian universities in the Midwest. Its mission is to “educate students for lives of leadership and service in the church and world”.

Bethel offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and programs, as well as graduate degrees in business, education, nursing, and theology. The university consists of five colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Adult & Professional Studies, College of Health Sciences & Nursing, College of Education & Human Services, and Bethel Seminary. The school also offers online degree programs for those who cannot attend classes on campus.

In addition to its academic offerings, Bethel offers a wide range of student activities and organizations. These include intramural sports teams and club sports teams, student government organizations such as Student Senate and Student Councils, religious organizations such as Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship USA. There are also a variety of cultural clubs such as African American Student Union (AASU), Asian American Student Association (AASA), Latinx Student Union (LSU), Native American Student Association (NASA), South Asian Student Alliance (SASA), International Student Association (ISA) and many more.

Bethel also provides its students with a wide range of services such as counseling services, career development services, health services including mental health counseling and wellness programming through its Center for Wellness & Counseling Services; financial aid; library resources; housing; student life opportunities including residence halls; study abroad programs; internship opportunities; leadership development opportunities; recreational activities including an outdoor recreation center; student clubs/organizations/activities; spiritual life programs including chapel services; service learning projects; student government organizations; volunteer opportunities both on-campus and off-campus through the Center for Service Learning & Community Engagement (CSLCE); technology support through the Technology Service Desk at the library or online via MyTechHelp portal; tutoring services from the Academic Support Center (ASC); writing assistance from the Writing Center at the library or online via MyWritingLab portal.

At Bethel University students are encouraged to explore their faith through academic study as well as service learning projects that allow them to interact with local communities around St. Paul.
